E-mail Print PDF

As you would have noticed kjwriteleft.com has been changing over to a new site. While we are keeping the KJ Takes a Blog site up and running as usual this section of the site will be slowly moved over to the new site at kjwriteleft.com (just take out the /beta).

I will be adding all of my own original poetry, photography and art to the site as I remove it from here. I hope you will all continue to support the site and share and visit.

Sunset Image NSW

I have recently been back home in Northern NSW and had the opportunity to get some great sunset photos taken. These were taken late afternoon with the last of the light and this is a scene I have grown up with as the sunsets and sunrises are amazing there. Without further waffle here are the fantastic photos and a new post that has been a while coming!

Yes! kjwriteleft.com is finally getting a full overhaul and tune up when we move the site to joomla 1.6. The site currently operates on Joomla (an earlier version) and has had many things built into it, customised, etc etc so much so I can't remember exactly what I still need on the site. I will still of course have all of the same great content from this site, it will just move to a prettier and more functional home.

Turn around the place you see

Through your hurried eyes

Step back a little, blink just once, to fully realise

The spot you stand will mark the end

A new beginning around that bend

Of light refracted flowing through

Our atmosphere made just for you

"The Crossing" - Then I Passed series Poem and Photograph

E-mail Print PDF

The Crossing from the

Passing over silent vista

Vast distances to cross

An unhurried man will match the pace

Of the uncertain landscape to travel down to see you,

In secret circumstances to stand alone, untouched, except by longing

Feelings emerge, as vessels, carry you away into the forbidden

Hidden love laid down its arms to lust

The soft crust of restrain now broken, pouring over soft skin

Like rain on tin the refrain of sin crosses beyond the known

Beyond the everyday,

Beyond death.

“You never should have come here”

How were you to know of the implications of the dangerous destination

Between those arms.
